Unbelievably Cheap Internet

**Updated post!

This is the first of a series on communication and entertainment.

You gotta have it.  News, communication, shopping... internet access is a fantastic tool, and helps you live a frugal life, especially if you use it for free email, bargain-hunting, and to watch FREE television with fewer commercials (easily done at all the major network websites).

My recommendation is AT&T's DSL Pro service for $15.  FIFTEEN DOLLARS!  Plus, the modem is free with rebate.  Also, ask the salesman to refund the $13 shipping and handling costs to your cell phone bill.

I previously used AT&T's High Speed Internet Basic which required a local land line.  Over the past three years, my monthly bill had gone up from $20 to over $30.  I decided I could go without the phone, so I chose a DSL package that didn't require phone service.

Maybe it's weird to admit this, but... I can't wait for my first bill!  It'll be so great to see it back in the $15 to $20 range (with fees/taxes) as opposed to $32.67.  Every.  Single.  Month.
