Cheap Chicago Mani/Pedi
OPI nail polish costs $8.50 in the drugstore, and can be used for many, many manicures. The cheapest mani/pedi in the Lakeview/Lincoln Park area is $28. You can find that price Monday-Thursday at Lumera Nails, 2950 N. Clark. However, with a decent tip, you’re still spending $33 for what you could do yourself. Sorry, ladies, mani/pedis are OUT.
If you’re like me, you have a problem picking the right color. Cut your nails short, and go with a light pink, like Bubblebath. It looks great on every skin tone, and goes with every outfit and social event.
But, you’re lousy at painting your nails, right? Think of it this way; is the manicurist worth 30 TIMES more than you??? I didn’t think so.
