Don't Spend on Food at Work
The first strategy on the Just Don’t Spend Program was to bring ALL my food and drink to work. Coffee, snacks, lunch, dinner… no running out and grabbing something on break, no eating from vending machines, no picking up coffee on a tired morning. These were the easiest for me to prepare and lug around: sandwiches, frozen dinners, my own tuna salad, bananas, yogurt, homemade trail mix, and chocolate chips.
A few helpful tricks:

On my day off, I pre-made and pre-packaged everything I could for the week.

My trail mix is 1 quarter cup almonds and 1 quarter cup raisins.

I bought Starbucks Frappucinos at the grocery, and kept them at work.

I made a deal with myself: no buying anything until I ate everything I brought.
I saved $50 for the month, ate more nutriously, and still caffeinated as necessary!
