Do You Buy Jewel's Big Relief Price Cut?
Are we buying Jewel's Big Relief Price Cut?
Jewel is claiming to have cut prices by up to 20% on select items.
A dozen eggs at Market Place Foods is $2.49. At Jewel, they're $0.99. Okay, Jewel probably cut their price considerably.
Cheerios have fallen from $6.69 to $4.59 at Jewel. That's actually a 31% reduction, so another point for Jewel.
However, Lean Pockets were habitually on sale for $2.00, but they don't go on sale anymore. The "reduced" price is $2.49. I think Jewel's "Big Relief" is only an actual cut in price on a few products. They've raised prices on other products by eliminating sales, and calling the permanent price the sale (Big Relief) price.
I'm making the price cuts work for me by using my grocery book, and only buying those products that are really reduced.
