Netflix Raises Its Fee by 20%!!!
Remember how angry I was when Blockbuster raised my rate from $18/mo to $30/mo for the same service? I immediately switched to Netflix. As I recall, Blockbuster went belly-up a hot second later. Revenge is sweet!
At the time, I signed up for Netflix' 3-DVD, unlimited streaming plan for $17/mo (a little over $18/mo with taxes). It was basically the same price and service that I'd gotten at Blockbuster. Then, a few months ago, Netflix raised my rate to $20/mo. Okay, no biggie, price increases happen. But now -- HORRORS! -- Netflix has raised their rates an incredible amount!
I received an email yesterday telling me the rate for my 3-DVD, unlimited streaming plan was going to $24/mo. YIKES! That's a 20% increase. And, THIRTY PERCENT since I first got my subscription two years ago. Gouging much, Netflix? Well, sorry, but I can't do it. I'm downgrading my plan to the 2-DVD, unlimited streaming for $20.
Gosh! This sort of thing just steams me!
For those of you wondering why I don't switch to a competitor like Amazon Prime or Hulu, they have around a quarter of the movies available at Netflix.
Anyone else hopping mad about Netflix? If you're switching your service to a competitor, please let us know how that works out.
