Did I Mention I Bought a Prius?
It's true! I just bought a used Prius!
This is the first car I've ever purchased. It's a 2005 Prius with 66,500 miles. It's got a lot of nifty luxury items, but the only one I've actually bothered to learn to operate is the GPS. And, actually, that started as a liability until I figured it out. It kept trying to get me to go to the previous owner's house like some sort of a creep.
Though I know I could've gotten the car cheaper from an owner, I wasn't comfortable with the risk. I wanted a warranty, even if it was only the "3 months or 3,000 miles" guarantee. The original asking price was $14,995. I was only able to talk them down to $14,260. I'm disappointed I wasn't able to get a further discount, but because I have no past experience, I don't know what's realistic.
With taxes, license plate, etc. the total was $15,998.
What do you think? Did I do okay, or did I get screwed?
