Saved Some but not Enough at Art.com

In March, I purchased a Groupon to Art.com.  I paid $25 for a $50 gift certificate.  Since it was set to expire September 10th, and we have all these blank walls to fill, I figured now was the time!

I purchased 6 prints without frames for the retail price of $116.  With shipping and taxes the total came to $139.  I used the Groupon and got $50 off, I also used Mr. Rebates for an additional 10% ($11.60) cash back, and my Schwab Visa for another 2% off what was charged on the card ($1.78).  All told, I paid $78 if you include the $25 I paid for the Groupon.

It wasn't until I was writing this blog post that I found coupon code BTS2050 for 20% off of a purchase of $50 or more.  It expires Sept. 8.  A link is right there in the pop-up window when you click Art.com on Mr. Rebates.  How did I miss it???  I left $23 with Art.com that could've been in my pocket.  Don't you just hate that?  Grr.

Well, hopefully you can learn from my mistakes.  Be sure to check for coupons, and stack those discounts and cash back opportunities like crazy!

Sandro, you inspired me to write Art.com, and politely and apologetically ask them to apply the coupon.  They did!  In fact, they gave me $25 instead of the $23 I thought the coupon was worth!
